The opening of JADARA’s Factory under His Royal Patronage

His Majesty King Abdullah II inaugurated on Thursday 30th of May 2013 JADARA Equipment & Defence Systems Company's (JADARA) Factory. The company is a subsidiary of King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau's “KADDB Investment Group (KIG)”, the commercial arm of the Bureau. The ceremony attended by His Royal Highness Prince Feisal Bin Al Hussein, high Government Officials and Senior Military Personnel from Jordan, neighboring and friendly countries.

The event commenced, His Majesty listened to inaugural addresses by KADDB’s Chairman & CEO, Mr. Shadi Majali, followed by Mr. Sergey Chemezov, Director General of State Corporation Russian Technologies (Rostec), and then a briefing about JADARA and its future plans by the General Manager of Jadara Brig. Gen. (Rtd’d) Eng. Bassam Issa.
During the ceremony, HM the King unveiled the commemorative plaque, followed by touring the assembly line of “Nash-shab”. After that, a live firing of “Nash-shab” RPG-32 was attended to illustrate the capabilities of the weapon and demonstrate its features in penetrating and destroying armoured vehicles, targets and bunkers. 
 
KIG seeks to establish partnerships in the defence and security industries along with the supporting services that complement these industries. The scope of work covered by the Group and its subsidiaries includes heavy industries, the manufacture of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, army equipment, arms and ammunition, in addition to back-office services.
 
It is worth mentioning that KADDB is an independent government entity within the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), established in 1999 by Royal Decree for the supply of high quality, efficient and cost-effective scientific and technical research and development services in defence, security and automotive industries.
